FAQs
This page addresses the most frequently asked questions, provides a wide array of resources, and describes how an interested, well-organized group can create a climate for growth and success in the community.
What Is a Chamber?
A chamber of commerce is a voluntary partnership of businesses and professionals working together to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of life in a community. As a chamber works to accomplish these goals, it must champion many different functions: economic developer and planner, tourist information center, business spokesperson, economic counselor and teacher, government relations specialist, human resources adviser, and public relations practitioner.
Who Are Chamber Partners?
Chamber partners are businesses, organizations, and individuals concerned with the socioeconomic climate of a community. These groups have joined together because they stand a better chance of getting things done when speaking with a collective voice. Chamber partners can include the small hardware store on the corner, the mom-and-pop diner, the established bank downtown, franchise and major retailers, and the local baseball team. There are no limits or restrictions on the number or kind of partners that choose to get involved in a chamber of commerce.
Do you have a leads group?
Yes, we have two active leads groups at the Chamber. Join us for a high-energy networking meet-up where conversations flow, connections spark, and opportunities are just one handshake away. Email info@worcestercountychamber.org for more information.
What networking activities do you host?
Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, our anchor events and our Chamber Connections leads groups are offered to help you strengthen your network and make meaningful relationships.
How can I get more involved?
Our ambassador program is the opportunity to network and enhance your relationships with the community. Serve on committees for our anchor events, join us a business after hours, take part in welcoming new business to the community at ribbon cuttings. There are many ways to get involved in the Chamber and the place to start is with the ambassador group. Email info@worcestercountychamber.org for more information.
Do you have an online directory?
Yes, both a printed and online directory are partner perks. The printed directory is published in January offering partners year-round exposure in the community. The online directory offers community members easy access to your business website and information.
What advertising opportunities do you have in my budget?
The Impact Maker is an enhanced benefit for partners that provides three email blasts per year to the Chamber's email list. It also offers eye-catching directory listing, optimized SEO, and many additional features for your chamber listing.
Advertising in the annual directory is another affordable option that provides year-round exposure for your business in both print and online formats.
Marketing cooperatives and event sponsorships are another opportunity to put your business in front of the community. For more information about these opportunities please email Amity.Aldrich@worcestercountychamber.org.
Can I contribute content on topics I specialize in?
The monthly Chamber Chatter newsletter provides space for your expertise. We feature partners who submit 400 words (or less!) describing their business or something new in their industry. Submit your article in Word format with jpg image files or via email no later than the fifteenth of the month to be included in the following month’s edition.
